POWER PLANT

       The power plant furnishes electricity, heat, and water for the buildings on St. Charles' property by way of an underground tunnel that connects the buildings. Electricity is purchased but in case of an outage of electricity, a standby generator kicks in to supply emergency needs. The power plant building also houses the electric, plumbing, carpenter, and machine shops. The operation and operators of the power plant keep our place running.
